These terms and conditions only apply to web site sales.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

A 50% deposit payment is required to secure your order with the balance due on despatch from our factory.

You may pay via credit card, UK sterling cheque or direct bank transfer (bank details will be advised after placing the order).

If you are shopping from outside the UK, your credit card company will convert the transaction into or your own currency in accordance with the current exchange rates.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping & Handling

Our delivery service is WORLD-WIDE and we only use carriers that specialise in furniture transportation ensuring an efficient home delivery service. The carrier will call and give you a time frame when they will be in your area. If the delivery is missed (for whatever reason) the delivery is rescheduled within 7-10 working days. Please note that it is your responsibility that what you ordered fits into your home or work entrance.

Tax

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is included. All other orders are VAT free.

Returns Policy

Cancellations

We are pleased to offer a no-quibble cancellation policy, which is in addition to your statutory rights.

Should your purchase disappoint in any way, you may normally cancel your purchase provided you notify us before, or within 14 days after delivery. Your product must be complete, unused and in “as new” condition (e. g., if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product in any way). It should be returned with the original box, packing and accessories.

Your goods may be collected from the delivery address free of charge. If another method of return is used you will be responsible for the costs.

Faulty goods

Goods are fully guaranteed against faults in manufacture, materials or workmanship for a period of 12 months from delivery. No warranty is made in respect of commercial rather than domestic use. If your goods develop a fault within 28 days of delivery, the goods may be returned for either refund in full, or replacement. Replacement only is offered after 28 days and before 12 months. These promises do not apply to faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse.

On receipt, you are required to check the goods for any damage or shortages and note down any problems on the delivery receipt. If the item is badly damaged, refuse the item and contact us immediately. We will subsequently take back any damaged goods to be replaced completely free of charge.

Guarantees

Complete customer satisfaction is a matter of pride here at Winchester Leather therefore we offer three guarantees for total piece of mind:

  1. Choosing the right piece of furniture can be difficult even in a showroom. And often a wrong choice only becomes evident when you see the item in your own home. It may be too big, or too small, the colour may be too loud, or too subdued. You may even wish you'd chosen a different colour. Whatever the reason, if you're not delighted with your choice, you have 30 days to let us know and we'll collect the item(s) and refund your money, less any collection costs.
  2. Assuming you are happy with your choice, and assuming fair wear and tear, every item is then guaranteed for ten years against any defect of manufacture or materials. If a problem does arise you can inform us straight away. Within this guarantee period, we are able to treat your furniture as if you had purchased it locally. We usually require two repair estimates from your local repair centres and, once submitted, we are then able to assess the quotation and notify you accordingly.

    We manufacture to the highest standards and we carefully inspect every item before delivery. Complaints are therefore extremely rare, but if you're not entirely happy, we're sure that you'll find our concern matches yours. Should there be a fault in one of our suites or chairs, we will gladly replace the item free of charge or refund your money in full. Please remember that you have 21 days after delivery to change your mind giving you complete peace of mind!
  3. Finally, we also offer an additional guarantee of 10 years for all our frames. Our guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights which remain unaffected.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Legal

Sales on this web site are governed by English law and you agree to submit any dispute to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. All orders are subject to these terms and conditions and no amendments will be accepted by us. These terms and conditions do not affect your legal rights.

These terms and conditions only cover the Fire Branch web site. Any other web sites to which you link from this site may be governed by their own terms and conditions. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content of web sites which are not under our control.

We are required by law to tell you that sales can be concluded in English only and that we do not file copies of customer contracts.
